For clarity, “entrepreneur” and “artist” is anyone who doesn’t work for The Man. It’s anyone who doesn’t get a paycheck from an employer. It’s anyone who wants to create something and make a living from it but hasn’t quite gotten there yet. It’s most definitely for people who sweat the money part, who question how they’ll be able to do what they want to do and support themselves.
…to allow us to be super clear about the work we want to do, super clear about the money life we want to live, and not allow one to dilute or pollute the other
When artists and entrepreneurs come into Spiritual Workout world they are strongly encouraged, right off the bat, to get serious about how the law of attraction is always on, how important intentions are (true for all of us all day every day) and then, more specifically for this category of human, how and why to start with setting two separate intentions: one for the work itself and one for the money life they want to be living.
How to set the intention is too big of a conversation for here, but this is pretty much why we do it:
to break the habit of conflating our work with our income
to break the habit of believing that our work is the only possible source of our income
to allow us to be super clear about the work we want to do, super clear about the money life we want to live, and not allow one to dilute or pollute the other
Trust me when I say that I hope your entrepreneurial and artistic endeavors deliver more dollars to your multiple bank accounts all day every day than you ever imagined. But how it all happens and when it all happens isn’t up to us anyway. So let’s remember the law of attraction is always on and be super clear about the kind of work we’re doing, the people we’re doing it for, what it’s like to be succeeding in it, why we’re doing it. Let’s be super clear about whether we want enough money to get by, ungodly amounts we never imagined, or something in between. Let’s learn what it’s like to co-create, to not have to do it all ourselves. Let’s spend our time in joy, not worry.
As a Spiritual Workout facilitator, this is something that sounds odd to every artist and entrepreneur when they are first presented with it. And every single one of them, at some point down the road, happily shares about how much freedom they derived from this practice, how much more they enjoy their work, and what it’s like to see magic happen in their bank accounts.
