Back Pain + Headache

A client wanted to re-schedule his private session because his back was bothering him — it had been two days — plus he had woken up with a headache. I thought he was kidding or I was in the twilight zone because he’s worked with me long enough to know that E.F.T./“tapping” would help with all of that. I suggested we keep the session and use it for tapping and he was down. He just didn’t have the energy for “working on his stuff.” Fair enough.

For sure, after a few rounds of generally tapping on the headache pain and the back pain, he reported feeling "a lot more space” in his head.

We got on our video call and his energy was low, for sure. We first tapped generally on both the headache and the pain in the back. I just wanted to see what we could “skim off the top” and what, if anything, would be next. For sure, after a few rounds of generally tapping on the headache pain and the back pain, he reported feeling “a lot more space” in his head. And while he felt a lot of energy moving around inside his body, the pain level was softer but not by much. Based on what he said, we addressed the back more specifically. In particular, we gave voice to the chronic aspect of his back pain — he’s definitely had it a number of times before. And, because physical pain is, in very general terms, a manifestation of resistance, we tapped on any and all resistance — conscious and otherwise — in his system showing up as pain in his back.

After a few rounds of that, he took a couple of deep breaths, his energy was much lighter, and when I asked him what he wanted to do next, he said he wanted to get up, go out, and walk. Which he did. The session lasted about 10 minutes.
